The key to SPEAKING is to LOWER your STRESS

The key to SPEAKING is to LOWER your STRESS; having FUN when you LEARN is when you LEARN the BEST!

Today I led our first Weekly English Workout on WizIQ and it was an absolute BLAST!

Class in a traditional classroom can be a wonderful thing; but nothing beats the excitement of reaching people all over the world, especially those who wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to attend an intensive-and intensively FUN-English class.

Our language function of the week was asking for help. English Workout students (from fifteen different countries) enrolled and downloaded worksheets on Wednesday to prepare for the class. They had the choice to attend live (10-11a.m. EST) or watch the program later at a more convenient time. The Workout is done “TV program-Style”, so it makes no difference when they participate. On Sunday, I’ll upload an mp3 with speaking listening exercises (conversations, chants, and dictation practice).

If you’re a hard-working farmer or a sailor, you don’t need to join a gym to get in shape. Likewise, if you’re immersed in your second language 24-7, you don’t need repetitive, pattern-practice. Suffice it to say that most of us are neither farmers nor sailors. And a slim percentage of English learners experience immersion-like conditions. Classes should be a-buzz with communicative activities that build creative and critical thinking to address real-life tasks; but benefiting from those activities and moving ahead in English requires an accurate and fluent knowledge base. In other words, put the Coke and potato chips down, get up off the sofa, and join us at the Weekly Workouts!

This is what Dr. Nellie Deutsch, an experienced English teacher had to say:
I was very impressed with the first workout. She believes that music a perfect way to learn a language. The first live workout was awesome. It’s not too late to join. In fact, it’s the right time. You can view this and the next 7 sessions and the recordings for $15. That’s a bargain because you will get an MP3, work sheets to practice and so much more.

The point of the English workout is for you to keep viewing the recordings after the live sessions over and over again in your car, as you jog, and so on on your cell phone, mp3, iPad, android and so on. You do not need to be there for the live event. So, enroll in the 8 week workout program, today: http://www.wiziq.com/course/10282-the-english-workout-with-fluency-mc-8-classes

English Workout TV Show on WizIQ
Think TV aerobics program or celebrity cooking show!

Participants will follow Teacher/Master of Ceremonies/ESLebrity Fluency MC (Jason R. Levine) as he leads high-energy pattern practice with English vocabulary and grammar structures using ColloTunes, his popular approach to learning through songs and chants. The Collo Mantra: Fluency is all about the 3Rs. Relax, Repeat, Remember.

Participants will do oral substitution drills and “call and response” practice with key functional language to achieve daily communicative goals, such as making requests, describing people and objects, and expressing opinions.

Part comedic host and performer, part expert teacher trainer, Fluency MC keeps things light and loose, lowering affective filters, boosting self-confidence, and building English proficiency.
