Mentoring & Global Citizenship: Part 1

Education & Technology

April 22, 2012 was earth day and it got me thinking about giving freely so others can learn. My name is Nellie Deutsch and I have been providing free online workshops for many years. I believe that we can all give a little for free. Giving is receiving. Our lives will be fuller and our pockets larger if we unite forces and help others get off the ground. We can provide tutoring so others can get the jobs they need to care for themselves and their families. We need you!

I would like to invite you to a conversation on global citizenship through mentoring with Daniel Bassill so you, too, can start mentoring others. Daniel Bassill has been organizing non-school tutor/mentor prorams in inner city high poverty neighborhoods in the USA for over 35years. We need your  help to reach countries around the globe. Together, you and I can make a difference by making earth date everyday. Online learning is the key and  IT4ALL Moodle is the place. With your help, we can create courses and continue making them free for those who cannot afford the tuition. In addition, if you create and facilitate courses on WizIQ.

Daniel F. Bassill is a “global citizen”. He has been using the technology to reach a global community for many years.  Daniel began using computers to solve problems and do work of many people when with the Montgomery Ward Corporation  in early 1980. In 1997 he began integrating the Internet into the strategies of the Tutor/Mentor Connection and Cabrini  Connections.  On this Tutor/Mentor Institute web site are many pdf essays written by Bassill to illustrate his views and  strategies, along with links to many places where Bassill shares extensive information about tutor/mentor programs, where  they are needed, why they are needed and how business, philanthropy and volunteers can be more strategically involved.
