As a teacher, you have always wanted to be in the driver’s seat. You prefer to meticulously plan your teaching activities well in advance and remain in control of the events as they happen during a live class. This includes, among other things, uploading supported files (presentations, documents, and more) long before the class happens so that you are prepared for any situation.
But then, there would be times when you are in a live class looking desperately for a file in your Content Library only to realize that you had forgotten to upload it earlier. An awkward situation indeed. Right? What would you do in such a situation?
As an experienced Virtual Classroom user, you would use the “Upload from Desktop” option in your online classroom to upload the file on the fly (see Figure 1.1). You would then wait for it to be uploaded and converted into the compatible format before sharing it with your learners. So much for forgetting to upload a file. Huh?
You can now say goodbye to such a faux pas. As part of the latest Virtual Classroom upgrade, we have ensured that every time you upload a file on the fly, which you uploaded earlier using the “Upload from Desktop” option during a live class, you don’t need to wait for the usual 3-4 minutes (depends on your Internet bandwidth) for the file to be converted into the compatible format after it is uploaded.
As soon as you attempt to upload a file** during a live class which was uploaded by you earlier, the upgraded file upload system identifies the file and makes it available instantly. In other words, your good old file upload system now comes with a memory and power to recall stuff, even when your memory betrays you. So, you have your Plan B to bail you out of one of those awkward situations. Isn’t that cool?
We would like to know if you like the upgraded file upload system. Does it work for you? No matter what your experience is, we would love to hear your story.
