Record, Share & Play: Now Get Your Class Recordings in Video (mp4) Format
Let’s pick up where we left off. As some of you might recall, we talked about introducing video (mp4) format of class recordings in our previous blog on the WizIQ Desktop App. Well, here we are with the new App feature! And might we add, we are going to give you more reasons to use the App in days to come (as if there weren’t enough reasons already)?
With the launch of the new version (1.1.3) of the WizIQ Desktop App for Windows, your class recordings are now available in video (mp4) format which is easier to share and access. You simply need to download and install the new version of the App and conduct your classes using it. These class recordings can be accessed by your learners via the native e-learning platform (www.wiziq.com), or Content Management System (CMS) / Learning Management System (LMS).
Until now, the class recordings had been getting created only in .exe/ ZIP format through the browser-based Virtual Classroom. These recordings could be accessed from the e-learning platform, or CMS/LMS, but not shared on other popular platforms.
However, the class recordings created through the new Desktop App in video (mp4) format can be easily shared with anyone through email, or popular video sharing websites, such as YouTube, Vimeo, etc. This means that you can reach out to a wider audience through class recordings in mp4 format which is widely used and supported and can be played on various devices (mobile, tablet, laptop, desktop, etc.) that support mp4 playback.
To get the class recordings in video format, you need to follow the steps below:
- Download and install the WizIQ Desktop App
- Select the class recording option while scheduling the live class
- Launch and conduct the online class using the Desktop App
Video (mp4) format of class recording is created after the live class ends. All you need to do is keep your computer turned on and maintain an active Internet connection for a few minutes after the class. It’s important to process the class recording.
The best part is that video format of the class recordings is available offline. The recordings are saved in a folder titled WizIQ at a default location – Documents – on your computer. These class recordings can be accessed from your computer at any time without an Internet connection. Moreover, the online version of the class recordings will continue to be available on your e-learning platform, or CMS/LMS.
So, what are you waiting for? Conduct a live class using the new WizIQ Desktop App and share your class recording in video (mp4) format with learners from near and far.
