Start your New Year with the new WizIQ app! WizIQ launched the online education app for iPad & Android in July 2012. And now, WizIQ releases the first update for it in Jan 2013, that’s exactly what user-centric companies do. This week WizIQ has released a significant update to their app for iOS and Android platforms. The new version 1.5 enhances the pragmatism in online learning committed by the WizIQ team. Students would now be able to do a lot more with just a few taps of their fingertips.
Students using the WizIQ app are able to use many of the cool new features in the virtual classroom:
1. Watch Uploaded/Embedded Videos:
Teachers can upload or embed video files for students using iPad or Android tables. Students/attendees can watch the videos uploaded by teacher in the virtual classroom, on their iPad. Missed a remark, or a definition, or an important point? Just drag the progress bar to view any part of the video. You can watch videos supported by Media Player.
A plus for Android tablet users; they can also watch YouTube videos with the updated WizIQ app for Android.
2. Watch Class Recordings:
Apart from attending live classes/sessions, now you can also watch recorded classes on your iPad. So even if you missed any class or session, past classes are now available at your fingertips. Along with the Your Live & Upcoming Classes, a new tab is available: Past Classes. The recorded classes playback with seek bar, mute/unmute, and volume control options.
3. Share Poll Results:
Now, if a teacher/presenter views poll results, he/she can also share the results with the attendees. The Share poll results feature now completes the instant feedback, by virtually announcing the poll results among the class.
4. Whiteboard with Multiple Tabs:
Attendees/students can toggle between multiple tabs of the Whiteboard. What if the presenter gives writing control to attendees and a naughty one decides to close a few tabs? That, would not be possible as, students/attendees can browse between the multiple whiteboard tabs, they cannot close or open a new tab.
5. Undo or Redo:
Mistakes; No Problem! Now the Whiteboard is equipped with multiple undo and redo options. The buttons become active for attendees when the presenter/teacher provides writing control. This option is handy while typing text, drawing, or using free hand tool on the Whiteboard, as it is the quickest way to undo an error instantly.
6. View screen shared by presenter
I’m sure teachers would agree that easiest way to train is through demonstrations. Now, teachers on their desktop or laptop, can share their screen with students. It will be much easier for teachers to walk through their students to perform any tedious task. In WizIQ app, students/attendees on iPad or Android tablet would be able to view the screen shared by the teacher or presenter.
