Have you ever tried your hand at one of those archaic arcade attractions? A claw-crane, it’s called. You have your eye on the shiniest or the fluffiest or the cutest unicorn, but there’s a whole bunch of them out there, and it’s easy to lose your way.

Your life as an online teacher is no different. I remember the look of my mother’s clunky computer from her days as a teacher. Endless excel sheets, countless copies, plentiful presentations, add to them the bottomless pit of downloaded files and a desktop that looks like a marathon of icons. It was no small wonder how she got about her way to find a file, in case of an emergency. A claw crane experience indeed!
Online teachers and content files are inseparable. There is always new content coming, almost everyday. Presentations, PDFs, doc files, excel sheets, voice recordings, videos, prezis; a learner’s paradise resides in your mind and now onto your laptop. But wouldn’t it be so much more convenient if you could only organize it better, making sure at the same time that it wasn’t lost or copied.
While an online teacher must prepare, represent, adapt and assess the content to the class, what there is to be said about organization? Surely, it is important too. If a cluttered desk is a sign of cluttered mind, then what do you make of an organized desk?
Let technology be your maid!
Happy to help!
Since you aren’t Richie Rich, and you probably can’t afford Irona, the robotic maid, what you CAN do is this: Upload that File!
As soon as you create a file for your online course, and before it gets lost into the sea of other files, go online and upload it to your Content Library on WizIQ.
Safe, Secure and Organised
WizIQ employs Azure’s vast, global cloud infrastructure to store your documents, ensuring that your files can be accessed and shared from anywhere, at any time, with just a single click.
You can arrange, reorder, and move files between folders as well as edit file details, and our search function also includes advanced filters that help you quickly find what you need. Plus, you always retain control of who accesses and downloads your personal content.
Since the Content Library is cloud-based, you can say goodbye to your worries about the content’s safety and security.
Here’s how you can upload files to your WizIQ Content Library:
Let your content be viewed, heard and absorbed. Share it with your learners in a live classroom or make it available for download/viewing from within your course. You can even share it with users via their email, Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ account.
Your content is your biggest tool, as an online teacher. Don’t let it embarrass or confuse you. Take control and show them who’s boss. Make those unicorns stand in line. Of course having Irona around would have been highly convenient, but till you find a Prof. Keenbeam for yourself, I suggest you give WizIQ a try.
