Michael Strong on WizIQ
What’s right with the world?
I believe that working with one another is our greatest gift. There’s a great deal of value in sharing and collaborating. Today, we can connect and learn from one another because of technology. WizIQ is the place and the topic is happiness.
Happiness is Money or is it?
I realise that we strive for different things, but doesn’t money make us all happy? Apparently not. Tomas Peter Shadyac had all the money he needed, but he was unhappy. He only found happiness when he gave his money away and started going inwards for answers. The journey to fulfilment is unique, but Tom wanted to share his story with the world. He produced a documentary film called I am. I Am is a 2011 documentary film written, narrated, and directed by Tom Shadyac. Tom met with an unfortunate accident while cycling. As a result of the accident, Tom came to realise that life is precious and that the material world is not enough. There’s more to life.
So if it’s not money, how do I survive?
If life and happiness are not about material possessions, how do I survive? How can I live a happy life and put bread on the table? Well, I reflected and went inwards and found that freedom is something I value. I like to have the freedom to do as I wish and not be controlled, but how do I go about turning freedom into something that would help me survive. I searched and found FLOW. What is FLOW and how can it help me combine my passion for teaching and learning, and bring me the freedom to think on my own, make all the money I need and attain happiness?
