Who am I? Where am I going?
Do We Have Answers?
Who are we? Where are we going? Why are we going here? These are questions people ask as they go through their daily routines. Have you thought about these questions? Religions have dealt with these and other supernormal phenomenon such as as miracles for thousands of years. Can supernaormal states of being such as telepathy be studied in the laboratory?
Can we make sense of our chaotic world? What is reality? Quantum Physics is providing some answers to those questions. People, who practice Yoga and meditations, have experienced altered states of mind and higher states of consciousness. These enlightened people are being researched scientifically in the laboratory to learn what they have that the rest of us do not.
Dr. Radin is the author of the best selling book called Entangled Minds: Extrasensory Experiences in a Quantum Reality. He claims that “reality isn’t what it used to be” (see Entangled Minds).
What the Bleep… is a movie that sets out to explore and answer some of those questions.
Dr. Dean Radin
Dr. Dean Radin is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences who appeared on the movie What the Bleep do we Know: Down the Rabbit Hole (2006) discussed his new book Supernormal (Random House, July 2013) from a scientific perspective — ancient legends about supernormal powers developed through the practice of yoga. What is really about (it isn’t what we see in most health clubs around the world).
Dean Radin, PhD, has been studying advanced capacities of human consciousness for over 30 years. He is presently Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Psychology at Sonoma State University. He previously worked at Princeton University, University of Edinburgh (in Scotland), AT&T Bell Labs, and SRI International, where he participated in a program investigating psychic phenomena for the US government (Stargate).
He is author or coauthor of over 200 technical and popular articles, two dozen book chapters, and three books including the award- winning The Conscious Universe (HarperOne, 1997), Entangled Minds (Simon & Schuster, 2006), and now, Supernormal (Random House, 2013).
Dr. Radin on WizIQ
Dr. Radin presented at Moodle MOOC 2 on WizIQ on October 11, 2013. The theme of the MOOC is transpersonal development. In the presentation, Dr. Radin described what the traditional superpowers are and consider if they are merely superstitions or something more. He focused on scientific experiments investigating these abilities, and concludes that some of the legendary powers are in fact true. This has immense implications for our understanding of human potential, for science, and for society.
Meditations Alter States of Consciousness
We can obtain a mystical or altered state of consciousness through medications or through meditation. Some people have had psychic experiences, hallucinations and out-of-body experiences as a result of meditations. What does science say about these supernormal states? Watch and listen to Dr. Radin explains as he explains on WizIQ.
